1. Industrial micro-ohmmeter MIKO-1 is designed to measure the DC electrical resistance of:
– contacts of high-voltage and automatic circuit breakers;
– contactors, releasing and connecting switches;
– bolted, welded and brazed joints of current leads and busbars;
– rail connections, wagon wheel pairs, etc.
2. To obtain reliable values, it is recommended to make measurements at sufficiently high currents through the contact resistance, which is set out, e.g., in IEC 60056:1987 Standard (I≥50A).
3. User involvement in the measurement process is minimal. The measurement process is started by pressing one button, without any additional settings.
4. Measurements are performed using a highly stable direct current. This enables measurement of electrical resistance of circuits containing current transformers which are usually fitted on high-voltage dead tank circuit breakers.
5. MIKO-1 is designed for operation in harsh electromagnetic environments of power stations and substations, with measuring channels of the device allowing suppression of electromagnetic interference of industrial frequencies.
6. The instrument has a low weight (3.6 kg) and compact dimensions; a special bag provides its convenient transportation, which allows to connect it on various circuit breakers.
7. MIKO-1 built-in battery provides its portability and has a capacity sufficient to perform up to 100 measurements. It is charged from an internal mains powered charger.
8. Test cables of different length and with different terminal types are specially designed for easy connection to an object.
